Halloween is near. Time to plan your New Year’s Resolutions.
For many companies October is when leaders make decisions regarding next year’s business plan. If you’re in this mode, here’s a simple question: Are you planning your 2019 projects for success?
NOW is the time to plan for project success. What does that mean? If your New Year’s resolution is “I want my projects to succeed better than ever,” what would you need?
Consider this. One of the MOST COMMON resolutions is “I want to be healthier.” As the final calendar page of 2018 peels away you might find yourself committing to joining a gym. . . or starting a diet. . . or hiring a health coach. One year we received Wii Fit for Christmas and our heath coach was virtual!
Similarly, a PROJECT FITNESS COACH would be a fantastic New Year’s gift for your project teams, and your company! Good one’s don’t come free, so add funding now, in your 2019 business plan.
If you are accountable for project success, don’t rely upon luck. Hope is not a strategy. Resolving to “wing it and see what happens” isn’t a winning tactic. Do something proactive and positive to influence the fitness of your 2019 projects and find yourself a proven Project Coach. Healthier project results will improve your health as well.
